Fundraising & Events
Blue Ridge Hospice is a not-for-profit healthcare organization. While a portion of our services are reimbursed by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies, much of what we provide to patients and their families is solely supported by donations. Fundraising and community donations allow Blue Ridge Hospice to offer Music therapy, Chaplain and Bereavement services, and to accept all those in need of end-of-life care, regardless of their ability to pay.
Many events and avenues of giving support The Patient Care Fund. This pool of funds is available to those unable to pay for our services. In 2012, Blue Ridge Hospice provided more than $375,000 in charity care thanks to individual donations and corporate sponsorships… that need continues to grow year after year.
